Our Goal
All of our Crew members have the same goal, to give the client the best trip we can offer. Although not every day goes the way we want it, we will put 100% effort in for our clients. Another promise we give our clients is that we use the best gear from Seeker fishing rods and Avet reels on the Scallywag, to Tanglefree Decoys and gear on our duck hunts, we believe that the better the gear the less chance for some thing to go wrong. We always leave the dock with Safety being out number one priority, and providing a memorable and fun trip a close second! with out all our amazing clients Golden State Guide Service would not be possible.

Charlie Barberini
Owner/Operator
Charlie was born in Northern California, after graduating high school in the San Francisco bay area he flew to Alaska to start his guiding career. Charlie ran a fishing boat, guided Brown Bear hunts and Sea Duck hunts in Alaska and in the winter he would travel the mid west guiding duck and goose hunts! After 10 years of chasing fish, birds and bears he returned to the San Francisco Bay and started Golden State Guide Service!

hook is is the work horse of the operation, you shoot um he gets um!He has retrieved in the bearing sea of Alaska, the dry fields of Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Texas to the high desserts of Nevada and Oregon but but there is nothing he likes more then grabbing sea ducks and divers out of the San Francisco Bay.
